The Adopt-A-Native-Elder Program supports traditional Navajo Elders living in remote areas of the Navajo reservation, many in traditional hogans with no running water or electricity. The program relies on volunteers and donations to provide food, clothing, and medical supplies to over 850 Elders. Started in the late 1980s, the program offers various ways for people to get involved, such as adopting an Elder, volunteering, or participating in the Annual Rug Show.
