African Wildlife Foundation

The African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) is the leading advocate for the protection of wildlife and wild lands in Africa. Since its founding in 1961, AWF has focused on Africa's unique conservation needs, bridging science and public policy to ensure the survival of the continent's wildlife and wild lands. AWF has played a major role in ensuring the continued existence of some of Africa's rare and endangered species, investing in training and resources for African individuals and institutions, promoting international cooperation, and pioneering the use of community conservation and conservation enterprise. With an office in Washington, D.C., AWF continues to lead the way in conservation efforts across the African continent.
