Arab American Institute

Established in 1985, the Arab American Institute (AAI) is a non-profit nonpartisan national leadership organization based in Washington, DC. AAI was created to encourage and nurture the direct participation of Arab Americans in political and civic life in the United States. The organization represents nearly 3.5 million Americans of Arab descent and serves as a national resource on the Arab American experience for the media, academia, government agencies, and the private sector. Additionally, the AAI Foundation (AAIF) supports programs that promote greater awareness of Arab Americans in the U.S. and international outreach. The organization focuses on campaigns and elections, policy formulation, and research to promote Arab American participation in the U.S. electoral system.
