Barbetta, founded in 1906 by Sebastiano Maioglio and now owned by his daughter, Laura Maioglio, is the oldest family-owned Italian restaurant in New York. It is also the oldest restaurant in New York's Theatre District and the only American restaurant designated as a Locale Storico (Historic Establishment) by Locali Storici d'Italia. With an elegant Northern Italian trattoria and a scenic garden patio, Barbetta offers an upscale menu and a classical Italian-style ambiance. Its wine cellar stocks over 1,500 labels of wines from around the world, and its private function rooms can accommodate up to 100 people.
