Basic Rights Oregon (BRO) is the state’s largest nonprofit LGBTQ advocacy group, founded in 1996 with the mission of ending discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. The organization consists of the 501(c)(4) Basic Rights Oregon and the 501(c)(3) Basic Rights Education Fund, working to sustain and strengthen LGBTQ rights in Oregon through education, advocacy, and policy change.
