CAL FIRE Local 2881

CAL FIRE Local 2881, formerly known as CDF Firefighters, was established in the 1960s by California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection firefighters to improve wages, benefits, and working conditions. Today, the organization represents over 4,000 members and is the largest fire department in California, protecting 33 million acres of State Responsibility Area. CAL FIRE Local 2881 is responsible for providing comprehensive fire protection and emergency services, serving as the incident command during California's most serious disasters. The organization is also associated with the California Professional Firefighters and the International Association of Firefighters.
