Canopy

Canopy is a new creative community located in a rehabilitated east Austin warehouse, offering artist studios, creative office spaces, art galleries, and a café. Emphasizing connectedness between art, culture, and the public, the space features communal courtyards and covered breezeways. The central courtyard and breezeway also provide ample glazing daylighting to the interiors, fostering a strong connection between interior and exterior spaces. With multi-functional communal spaces, Canopy encourages collaboration and community engagement. The complex includes a new gallery space for Big Medium and East Austin Studio Tour headquarters, and was thoughtfully designed by Michael Hsu Office of Architecture.
