Chesapeake Commons

Chesapeake Commons provides consultation and training on cost-effective ways to construct intelligent maps and data-driven applications, helping clients transform raw information into knowledge for the Bay restoration effort. Established in 2011 by the Chesapeake Bay Funders Network, Chesapeake Commons offers a shared web-based platform for improved communication, data transparency, reduced duplication of efforts, and increased data collection and analysis capabilities for stakeholders with limited resources. The organization helps clients effortlessly share maps, access a rich collection of basemaps and data, create secure workspaces for collaboration, and turn data into information through intelligent maps and applications. Chesapeake Commons aims to build a collaborative network for problem-solving and knowledge sharing in the Bay watershed.
