Chicago Sinfonietta is a professional orchestra dedicated to promoting diversity, inclusion, and innovative programming in the arts. Founded in 1987 by Maestro Paul Freeman, the orchestra has been redefining the symphonic experience by presenting bold symphonic experiences and cultivating a diverse community of orchestra members, guest artists, and audience members. Under the leadership of current Music Director Mei-Ann Chen, the orchestra continues to perform innovative renditions of masterworks, cutting-edge new works, and presenting emerging artists. The Chicago Sinfonietta performs five pairs of concerts each season at Symphony Center in downtown Chicago and Wentz Concert Hall in Naperville.
