Community Music School - Berks

The Community School of Music and the Arts (CSMA) was founded in 1956 with the goal of inspiring an increased interest in music and the arts among children of all races and backgrounds. After operating from several locations, the school found a permanent home in Reading, PA in 1989 and established a business satellite office at the Goggleworks in 2005. In 2010, Mr. Cedric Elmer was appointed as the Managing Director, and the school is currently overseen by a Board of Directors. CSMA is a non-profit organization that provides music education and appreciation opportunities for the diverse community, with a studio located in the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts in downtown Reading.
