Council for Adult and Experiential Learning

The Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to expanding learning opportunities for adults. Since its founding in 1974, CAEL has been working to remove policy and organizational barriers to learning opportunities, identifying effective practices, and delivering value-added services. As an intermediary, CAEL works with colleges, universities, corporations, labor unions, and government entities to create practical lifelong learning solutions. Their integrated approach includes higher education services, corporate services, and research and policy initiatives. CAEL strives to lead the national discussion on challenges and opportunities for adult learners and advocates for increased access to education and economic security.
