Larimer County Search and Rescue, Inc (LCSAR) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives in the mountains of Larimer County, Colorado. Highly trained volunteers respond to emergencies and disasters 24/7, 365 days a year, under the authority of the Larimer County Sheriff. LCSAR operates under a Memorandum of Understanding with the Sheriff's Office to provide search and rescue services to the county and also assists out-of-county and out-of-state agencies when requested. The organization does not receive funding from any tax base or mil levy at the Federal, State, County or City level.
