Dancer's Group Inc

Dancers' Group Inc was established in 1982 by a group of respected teachers, choreographers, community activists, and students. Over the years, the organization has evolved to become a vital performance space, presenter, and service entity for dance artists in the San Francisco Bay Area. After facing eviction from its original location in the Mission district, Dancers' Group reemerged as a stronger organization with a renewed sense of direction. Under the leadership of founder Wayne Hazzard, the organization expanded its staff and community partnerships, leading to increased contributed income and new programming. Dancers' Group now operates from a new location in the SOMA district, providing services such as fiscal sponsorship, presenting, and support for dance artists.
