The Asian American & Pacific Islander Caucus of the Democratic Party of Oregon (AAPI-DPO) represents and advocates for the interests of the diverse AAPI communities throughout Oregon. It seeks to increase AAPI participation in all levels of government and works towards ensuring equal access to education, social services, and government programs. The Caucus also aims to promote greater civic participation and empowerment of AAPIs, and to fight against racial stereotypes and negative portrayals of AAPIs in the media. The Democratic Party of Oregon coordinates statewide campaigns, recruits volunteers for local campaigns, operates a state voter file, and conducts quarterly meetings to vote on issues and set party policy.
