El Toro Water District

El Toro Water District (ETWD) was founded in 1960 and serves over 50,000 people in southern Orange County as a fully integrated water, sewer, and recycled water retail operation. The district is a pioneer in water recycling and maintains the El Toro Reservoir, a 275 million gallon storage facility. In 2008, ETWD opened the Education, Training and Operations Center, which houses an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to ensure continued service and infrastructure maintenance during emergencies. The district has been recognized with the District of Distinction Award by the Special District Leadership Foundation for its responsible leadership. The mission of ETWD is to provide safe, adequate, and reliable water and wastewater services in an environmentally and economically responsible manner.
