The Glendale Library, Arts & Culture Department offers free resources and programs to enrich the community, tracing its origins back to 1906 when the Tuesday Afternoon Club raised funds to establish the library. In 1913, a Carnegie grant allowed for the construction of the main library. Today, the department continues to provide services, materials, and activities to foster literacy and stimulate the imagination. New features at the Glendale Central Library include a MakerSpace with 3D printers and virtual reality gear, as well as the ReflectSpace Gallery, which uses art and technology to explore human rights issues.
