The Ohio State University Department of Human Nutrition offers a dietetic internship program that provides interns with the knowledge and skills necessary for a career in dietetics and nutrition. The program accepts 12 full-time and 2 part-time interns annually, with a focus on personalized nutrition and counseling. Interns participate in approximately 1,250 hours of supervised practice and 75 hours of classroom instruction over the course of the 36-week program. The program's mission is to prepare students for roles in nutrition education, research, medical nutrition therapy, community nutrition, and nutrition/food management.
