Imani Baptist Church of Christ

Imani Baptist Church of Christ, founded in 1992, is a faith-based institution that has grown significantly under the leadership of Rev. Moses A. Knott and Rev. Leonard L. Smalls. The church has made major strides in becoming an integral part of the East Orange community and celebrated the burning of its mortgage in 2011. Following Rev. Smalls' retirement, Rev. Charles "Chuck" Chamberlayne has continued to lead the congregation in worship, Bible study, evangelism, and outreach. The church's mission is to make disciples of all nations and teach them to obey everything commanded in Matthew 28:19-20a.
