Jupiter High School

The Environmental Research and Field Studies Academy at Jupiter Community High School is a four-year Magnet school program designed to meet the needs of students who wish to pursue an academic curriculum with emphasis on environmental studies. The program focuses on ecological principles and processes, environmental awareness, field studies and research, critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, leadership skills, and interdisciplinary learning. The Academy accepts fifty to sixty new freshman students each year, with an average total number of students in the program yearly being two hundred. The staff includes three full-time teachers, a coordinator, and a part-time secretary. Volunteers play a major role in the field studies portion of the JERFSA experience. Jupiter High School offers instruction in culinary arts, medical health science, and environmental research and field studies, and provides various extracurricular activities and sports.
