Kendon Candies is a family-operated lollipop factory that has been making lollipops in the USA since 1967. Founded by Tom Kennedy, known as the "Einstein of the Multi-colored stripe," the company originally began as a retail candy store operation after the WWII "Red Stamp" rationing. The first psychedelic lollipop was made in the late 1960s and the wholesale aspect of the lollipop idea took off after meeting a British salesman named Richard Watson. Kendon Candies specializes in hard candy lollipops and wooden lollipop displays, selling to distributors, zoos, theme parks, retail stores, and more. They are now being copied all over the world and continue to be a leading wholesale manufacturer of hard candy lollipops.
