Mikhail and Agnes Khalil, immigrants from Syria, opened Khalil's restaurant in South Oakland in 1972, establishing a Pittsburgh tradition. After closing for a few years due to illness, the restaurant has reopened, offering the finest Middle Eastern cuisine. They are now taking reservations for a special Mother's Day feast and look forward to a grand reopening in September after a summer break. With a full bar featuring Lebanese wines and beer, Khalil's is ready to continue their legacy of serving authentic Syrian cuisine.
