Know-Its: The Link To Reading

Know-Its: The Link To Reading was founded in 1997 by Diane Stout, a Christa McAuliffe Fellowship recipient with 30 years of classroom experience. The program targets struggling young readers and has been integrated in over 300 school districts in Oklahoma. It offers a PreK-2 grade reading curriculum with online programs, games, and hands-on activities, aiming to provide a systematic, developmental, and fun approach for teaching basic reading skills. The program also equips teachers with multiple strategies to balance phonics and meaning-based approaches and aims to develop independent readers through meaningful reading and writing experiences.
