The Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum is a 47-acre public garden with over 200 years of horticultural history, located just 2.5 miles from downtown. With free admission and open 365 days a year from dawn to dusk, the garden offers named gardens, hiking trails, and programs for children throughout the summer. The Board of Directors is dedicated to preserving and restoring this historic site for the benefit and enjoyment of the public, with plans for a diverse range of gardens, a bird sanctuary, and educational programs for the community.
