Law Enforcement Benevolent Fund of Northern Virginia

The Law Enforcement Benevolent Fund of Northern Virginia is a collective of nineteen different police agencies, including the City of Alexandria Police Department, Arlington County Police Department, and Fairfax County Police Department. Originally founded by employees of the Fairfax County Police Department in 1999, the fund has since expanded to include members from various agencies in Northern Virginia. The fund provides $20,000 to beneficiaries upon the death of a member to assist with immediate expenses while waiting on life insurance payments. All permanent employees of the member jurisdictions are eligible to join.
