M. Tyrrell Burrus, MD

Throughout his training, Dr. Burrus has worked with several high school and NCAA Division I athletic programs, including the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University. He has also provided sideline coverage for the International Champions Cup and formerly assisted with the Under 18 USA Hockey National Team Development Program. Dr. Burrus is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Texas Medical Association, and Travis County Medical Society. He is also a manuscript reviewer for “Arthroscopy: The Journal of Arthroscopic and Related Surgery” and has written over 30 research articles and 12 book chapters. In his free time, Dr. Burrus enjoys golf, fly fishing, bird hunting, snow skiing, and spending time with his wife and daughter. He believes in shared and informed decision-making with his patients, treating them as if they were part of his family.
