Mary O'Boyle, MD

Dr. Mary O'Boyle is a board-certified radiologist specializing in body imaging, with expertise in ultrasound, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopy. She is the chief of the ultrasound division at UC San Diego Health and serves as the medical director of the sonographer training program at UC San Diego School of Medicine. Dr. O'Boyle is actively involved in teaching and is the co-director of the body imaging fellowship at UC San Diego School of Medicine. She is dedicated to improving the quality of medicine and serves on the Radiology Quality Assurance committee. In addition to her clinical work, she lectures nationwide on ultrasound-related topics and is a member of several professional organizations. Dr. O'Boyle completed fellowship training in body imaging at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and residency training in diagnostic radiology at Pennsylvania Hospital. She earned her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, cooking, yoga, jazz, drawing, and spending time with her family.
