McGuire and Hester

McGuire and Hester is a full-service heavy civil engineering and landscape services company, specializing in large and small projects for public and private sector clients. Their expertise includes underground construction, grading and paving, reinforced concrete structures, and mechanical work. They are currently working on the Large Diameter Hayward Fault Seismic Retrofit project for the Alameda County Water District, which involves upgrading selected large diameter pipelines with higher grade steel and thicker pipe walls to withstand fault offset. Additionally, bypass manifolds will be added to the pipes to allow for temporary bypass hoses in the event of a pipe break, ensuring the continued distribution of water across the fault.
