The Melanoma Research Alliance (MRA) is committed to supporting innovative and high-risk research that has the potential to impact the outcomes of melanoma in the near and intermediate future. MRA engages the international community for the best ideas, proposal submissions, and cross-disciplinary teams, and aims to create a stable financial environment that will draw both young investigators and experienced researchers into a career in melanoma. MRA seeks opportunities for synergy with other funders and maintains an efficient, non-bureaucratic grant application process. The organization also fosters a collaborative research process and partners with industry, government agencies, other foundations, and academicians to stimulate discussion and idea-generation throughout the continuum of science, public policy, drug approval, and healthcare. MRA has awarded more than $110 million to research projects worldwide and is the largest non-profit funder of melanoma research globally.
