Metlar-Bodine House Museum

The Metlar-Bodine House Museum, as Piscataway Township’s Cultural and Historical Museum, represents and interprets the town’s 350-year history through its location along the Raritan River, New Jersey vernacular design, and collection of local memorabilia. The Fellowship for Metlar House, a 501(c)(3) foundation, has worked with the township for over 37 years to maintain the building and acquire its extensive collection. The foundation supports the museum primarily through a vigorous fundraising program and works closely with the township to ensure the museum fulfills its goal to be among the state’s top-tier, publicly owned historic site museums. The Board of Trustees oversees all aspects of the museum’s operations and restoration projects, working in collaboration with the township.
