Byte Support Inc. was formed in 1987 as a computer reseller, later expanding to include a retail storefront in Erdenheim, PA in 1992. After being dissatisfied with existing commercial internet services, the company decided to create its own Internet Service Provider, Navpoint Internet, in 1996. Navpoint initially focused on providing reliable and high-performing dial-up service, becoming the first ISP in the Philadelphia area to deploy X2 56K technology. Today, Navpoint specializes in computer repair, web design, web hosting, data backup, and other technology-related services.
