Ali Kobeissi, founder of Open Sesame, spent his early years in Beirut, Lebanon, where he developed a love for healthy, flavorful food and a passion for mixing exotic spices. In 1988, he arrived in Belmont Shore with a vision to open a restaurant serving the most healthy, wholesome, and delicious Lebanese food. In 1999, Open Sesame was born, offering generous portions of authentic Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free dishes. The restaurant has since become a crowd favorite and has expanded to a location in Los Angeles. Open Sesame also offers catering services for events of all sizes, specializing in off-site wedding receptions and large corporate events. The restaurant prides itself on using only the freshest ingredients with no added preservatives, ensuring a flavorful and tailored dining experience for all guests.
