The Pro Bono Project provides civil legal representation to clients who cannot afford it, addressing issues such as property titles, wills/power of attorney for the elderly, contractor disputes, Social Security and disability disputes, and more. Post-Katrina, the Project has focused on succession (probate) cases, wage and employment cases, and family law. The Project also serves as a learning ground for law students and young attorneys, providing hands-on experience in a recovering disaster environment. Financial support is crucial for the Project to continue fulfilling its mission and aiding those in need of legal help. Donations can be made securely online, and support is essential for the Project to open doors for those in need of legal services in the New Orleans area.
