Running Rebels

The Running Rebels Basketball program aims to reach youth through their interest in basketball and athletic ability, providing academic support, mentoring, and opportunities to compete at the highest level of amateur competition. The program includes grass-roots teams focusing on fundamentals and fun, as well as elite traveling teams competing nationally and internationally. The program also prioritizes assisting youth with pursuing a college education and obtaining scholarship opportunities. Since 1980, the Running Rebels Community Organization has been dedicated to developing Milwaukee’s youth mentally, physically, and spiritually, offering positive alternatives to gangs and substance abuse. The organization also provides mentoring, tutoring, crisis stabilization, anger management, and daily living skills programs, as well as innovative programming in areas such as music instruction and youth entrepreneurship.
