Satmar Bikur Cholim

Satmar Bikur Cholim (SBC) was founded in 1952 by the late Satmar Rebbetzin Feige Teitelbaum and Mrs. Kahan in a small kitchen. What started as cooking and delivering meals to hospital patients has grown into a major component of the Jewish social service safety net. SBC offers assistance to anyone in need, without asking about affiliation or income. The organization, now housed in a dedicated 1500-square-foot facility, still operates largely with grassroots volunteers and relies on charity and donations for income. SBC's mission is to help Jewish hospital patients heal by delivering wholesome home-made food and providing support to their families.
