Signature Control Systems, Inc. was founded by Brian J. Smith after acquiring Union Tools Irrigation, Inc. UTI was formerly known as Thompson Manufacturing and was the oldest irrigation equipment manufacturer in the country, founded in 1907. The company is headquartered in Irvine, California and is a manufacturer of electronic control equipment, management software, and irrigation equipment. The SCS complex houses its Technical Support, Customer Support, Manufacturing Facility, Sales and Marketing Divisions, and R & D Departments. Signature Control Systems, Inc. is an industry leader in the design and manufacturing of intelligent irrigation controllers and site management software, providing direct control of irrigation, fertigation applications, vehicle tracking, asset and inventory management, and other market-oriented products for landscape managers, golf course superintendents, and property managers.
