Founded by Christina Roth, who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 14, the College Diabetes Network (CDN) started as a way for college students to connect and support each other in managing their diabetes. Facing resistance from health services due to HIPAA regulations, Roth created a website to facilitate communication and provide tips for forming groups. In 2010, CDN received non-profit status and has since grown into a full-time organization, dedicated to empowering young adults with T1D to thrive in college and beyond.
