Uptown String Band Inc is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to fostering and promoting the musical arts, continuing the Philadelphia Mummers Parade tradition, and supporting the Bucks County community. With a history dating back to 1937, the organization is comprised of nearly 200 volunteers and participates in over 50 performances annually. All funds generated go towards the New Year’s Day production in the Philadelphia Mummers Parade and operational expenses. The band welcomes new volunteers and opportunities to share the mummer’s tradition with new audiences.
