Wisconsin Center District

The Wisconsin Center District (WCD) is a government body created to operate the Wisconsin Center, UW–Milwaukee Panther Arena, and the Miller High Life Theatre in downtown Milwaukee. The Wisconsin Center, with almost 300,000 square feet of event space, is the largest convention and conference center in the state. The WCD aims to maintain a professional reputation in the convention, entertainment, and sporting events industry, create and sustain jobs, income, and prosperity in the Greater Milwaukee community, and support economic growth. The district is governed by a fifteen-member Board of Directors and is supported by political and business leaders, with a diverse, skilled staff of about 285 full- and part-time employees. The WCD's success in attracting visitors and wealth to the community is measurable and has helped stimulate community pride and economic development on the downtown, neighborhood, and metropolitan levels.
