Youth Emergency Services & Shelter (YESS)

Youth Emergency Services & Shelter (YESS) began as the Iowa Runaway Service in 1973 and has since evolved into a nationally-accredited organization serving over 1,900 children per year. YESS provides emergency shelter, crisis nursery care, counseling and case management services, and family stabilization and assessment for at-risk children and their families. The agency's trauma-informed framework ensures that children receive the best care possible, with a focus on meeting the physical, mental, and social health needs of children and creating an environment where families can thrive. YESS is dedicated to putting the needs of children and their families at the center of everything they do, providing hope for a brighter future for every child.
